Living in New York, it’s easy to ignore the various landmarks located all around the city. A few weeks ago when my boyfriend’s parents visited, I resolved to venture out and explore more often, so this past weekend that’s exactly what I did.
On Saturday, my boyfriend convinced me to wake up early after a long night out (which was a struggle), and get myself together to walk the Brooklyn Bridge. Since it was such a hot day, I decided to pair this relaxed striped tank with the coziest leather shorts and a hat to shield myself from the sun. Sandals were also a must since I know we would be walking a lot.
Although I did enjoy the day, it’s safe to say that the Brooklyn Bridge was not exactly what I had expected. If you’ve ever seen the Sex and the City scenes they’ve filmed there, you can see that the bridge itself appears to be pretty large, when in reality there’s barely any room to walk, or bike for that matter. Although, despite the size, it’s definitely something that I recommend doing at least once, not to mention; the views are amazing.
It was nice to have a relaxing weekend sightseeing in the city before all of the madness of fashion week begins next Thursday. Make sure to follow me on Instagram (@luckeyalex) and Snapchat (@luckeyalex) for a behind the scenes look at the events and shows!
