Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!

While I know this holiday is not about drinking margaritas and eating Mexican food, for some reason we have always associated it with that, and you know what? I don’t hate it. So, in celebration of the holiday I’m bringing you an easy recipe for the BEST margarita that you’ve ever had (seriously, it’s amazing).

To be honest, I owe the amazing flavor of this recipe all to the Powell & Mahoney Jalapeño Margarita Mixer (pictured above). Now, don’t let the jalapeño deter you; I’m not usually one for spicy drinks but I’m telling you this mixer is just the right amount of jalapeño goodness and pairs perfectly with a smooth tequila. So, if you’re looking for a refreshing summer margarita recipe, look no further!

Ingredients:

  • Powell & Mahoney Jalapeño Margartia Mixer
  • CASAMIGOS Tequila
  • Poland Grapefruit Seltzer

Directions (for one margarita):

First, pour two jiggers of tequila into cocktail mixer, and then add equal parts mixer. Shake in cocktail mixer and pour into glass. I then chose to add some grapefruit seltzer to top off the glass, and to add an extra little kick to the cocktail, but mixer also tastes great on its own with tequila. Add jalapeño and lime for garnish and enjoy! 🙂
