Well it’s hard to believe it, but the 90’s are officially back in the world of fashion. I’m a late adapter of the trend, but am slowly beginning to incorporate various 90’s styling aspects into my daily looks.
I’d have to say that this look was my first foray back into the 90’s. I’d since forgotten about my denim skirts – does anyone still remember their favorite Abercrombie & Fitch denim skirt? I do because I’m pretty sure I wore it for a year straight. Although that particular skirt is long gone, I knew it was time to pick up a new denim skirt style for the season and one major requirement that I had was that it needed to be work appropriate.
I found this button-down style on ASOS and paired it with a lace-up back top, incorporating some more recent trend pieces with one that has been recycled throughout the years. I then polished off the look with my favorite black mules, giving the outfit an overall 90’s cool-girl vibe that I’m still super into.
Now that I’ve eased myself into these 90’s trends, I definitely think that I’ll be slipping more items into my fall wardrobe and if you’re like me, it’s best to start out small. If you’re just getting into it, I recommend throwing on a sleek choker with your favorite dainty necklace, or opting for a pair of flared jeans with your favorite fall sweater, or if you’re feeling adventurous, you can pair all of it together to get an overall 90’s vibe.
To make it easy, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite 90’s-inspired pieces below!
