After our early morning visit to Krka National Park, which you can see in my blog post here, we headed to one of the largest cities in Croatia – Zadar.

On the top of our must-see list for Zadar, was the Sea Organ situated right on the cities coast (picture above). The tubes located underneath the marble steps played music as the sea waves crashed against them.  While it wasn’t the most riveting thing to see, it was one of the cities main attractions so I definitely recommend stopping by. Plus, the views from the coast are absolutely beautiful!

After stopping by the stairs, we continued to walk along the coastline back towards the heart of the city. We stopped by a pier where we noticed a few locals jumping off to cool off in the water. Since I had made it a point to swim in the water at every stop on our trip, we decided to strip down to our bathing suits and take the plunge alongside the locals. It was so fun to do something spontaneous in a new city, and was super refreshing on this hot sunny day.

We headed back to town after this, grabbed a bite to eat and walked around for a bit. Like most of the cities in Croatia, the old town of Zadar was surrounded by Roman and Venetian ruins within the city walls, which meant the whole city was covered in the beautiful stone shown above. Once we had had enough for the day, we headed back to the rustic farm house that we were staying at. The view on the ride home was so beautiful that we just had to snap a picture.
