Let’s face it, holiday travel is a major pain in the butt but I’m here to show you that your holiday travel style doesn’t have to be.
Now, I don’t know about you, but when I’m traveling I’m all about comfort. Who wants to be stuck on an airplane for a few hours wearing jeans? Not I (unless of course, your jeans are actually super comfortable). But at the same time you still want your outfit to look put together and finding the right balance can be hard.
The look I’m wearing here is a perfect example of winter athleisure. The leather-look leggings are SUPER comfortable and are key for any relaxed winter look, not just for when you travel. I decided to pair the leggings with this cozy turtleneck sweater, which is perfect for those chilly airplane cabins. Finally, I topped off the look with the most comfortable (and super cute) sneakers from Off The Beaten Track Shoes. I swear these are the lightest and coziest pair of sneakers I own, which makes them the perfect travel accessory. Plus, they’re super easy to pack!
Now, for all of you who will be traveling this holiday season, or are planning to travel more in the New Year, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite styles to master the holiday travel // athleisure look! Because, dressing cute and comfortable at the same time, doesn’t have to be hard!
When it comes to your bottoms, I like to keep things simple with a pair of leggings. Whether they’re faux leather, plain black, suede or more sporty, it’s all about how you choose to style them!
Now for the tops! I personally prefer to wear long sleeves on planes since I know the cabin is typically on the chillier side. Depending on my bottoms, I like to opt for a classic sweatshirt, a turtleneck sweater (my go-to in the winter) or a more trendier sweatshirt style. The key here is to make sure that you’ll stay warm throughout the flight!
When it comes to the shoes, I honestly can’t think of a better option than sneakers. If I’m hauling luggage, trying to figure out exactly where I’m going and taking my shoes on and off for security checks (not if you have TSA pre-check though!), the last thing that I want to be doing is wearing uncomfortable shoes. But, at the same time you want to make sure that they’re still cute and match with your outfit. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite options below.
I hope I’ve given you all some helpful tips for mastering travel style!
